Just finished using four WoodyLights on a show called United States Of Tara for Showtime. The show premeired on January 18th,2009 and stars Toni Collette and John Corbett. Our DP, M. David Mullen,ASC found a variety of uses for the lights on the show. Above we’re using a WoodyLight through a four by four 216 for a super soft key and below we’re using two lights as keys and one as a TV gag.. Two lights as keys on a location interior...Four lights on a night interior on stage ... one on a beaver board rig...three lights on a camera car rig... and two lights rigged as keys on a day interior on stage. David said on cinematography.com... ” I ended up using WoodyLights a lot more than I thought I would. At first, I wondered why they would be any different than sticking a Chimera on a 1K, but the ability to switch on different light bulbs or to switch to one 1K globe, and to dim them, made it simple to throw a little soft light anywhere on the set quickly, or put a soft edge on an actor, or even key them. “
